It is the need of the hour to realize the fact that daughters are a reason to celebrate. They bring happiness and prosperity in the lives of their parents. On this day, students of Presidium gathered virtually to make darling daughters feel special and make them realize that they are appreciated. Students wholeheartedly spoke beautiful speeches marking the importance of Angels sent by God, virtual dance performances, making cards, writing quotes, heartfelt messages received by parents, which created an aura of love, happiness, and a blessing which a home cherishes throughout the journey of living.

Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21st September. The UN General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace by observing 24 hours of non-violence and cease-fire. Students of Presidium stand together against the attempts to use the virus to promote discrimination or hatred. So, join us, so that we can shape peace together. To sustain peace, we Presidians are building it every day, in every society, with every woman and man, by working together towards a better common future for all. You and I can together make the Earth a happier place on World Peace Day.

PRESIDIANS EXPAND THEIR VOCABULARY WITH THE AID OF FLASHCARDS!

A word making activity was organized for our Presidians with the aid of flashcards. The teacher showed the letter flashcards of the letters covered so far to the students and asked the students to take out those letters from their letterbox.  She then formed meaningful words and asked students to form those words with flashcards first like a cat, cap, tap, sit, pan, etc. and then she read those words through letter-sound relationship and then asked students to read after her. Then she wrote these words one by one and then asked students to write these words in their notebook, and when the students started writing, she emphasized the spacing between 2 letters.

PRESIDIANS STRENGTHEN THEIR MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Arithmetic operations are an essential part of mathematics. It is not just a mathematical concept but is even implemented in our daily life. Students of grade 1 of Presidium showcased addition and subtraction in different ways, like story sums, number lines, horizontal and vertical calculations. They developed a strong understanding of these concepts. As they developed new skills and learned new strategies, they built their mental math skills.

The ozone layer or ozone shield is a region of Earth's stratosphere that absorbs most of the Sun's ultraviolet radiation. It contains a high concentration of ozone (O3) concerning other parts of the atmosphere. To spread the message of the importance of saving the Ozone layer, students of Presidium shared their views through speeches, poems, slogans. Drawings made by students also gave a strong message to love and save your mother earth.

Engineer's Day in India is celebrated on the 15th of September every year. Engineer's Day marks the birth anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, who is also popularly known as Sir MV. Engineer's Day is observed on this Day because Sir MV was the "Builder of India," the builder of dams and water systems in India. Presidians of grade nursery to grade 7 celebrated Engineer's Day and expressed themselves through quotes, posters, roleplay, and speeches.

The National Sports Day is observed every year to spread awareness about the importance of sports and games in the life of every individual. National Sports Day in India is celebrated on 29 August, on the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. Sport develops a sense of friendliness among the students and develops their team spirit. It helps students to develop mental and physical toughness. Students should actively participate in sports to avoid being tired and lethargic. Students of Presidium showcased their talents through various activities like Yoga, Cricket, Chess, etc. They also manifested their love for sports through poems, slogans, and speeches.

PRESIDIANS REVEL IN THE CELEBRATION OF GANESH CHATURTHI

Lord Ganesha is the supreme God of wisdom and prosperity. Ganesh Chaturthi marks the birth anniversary of Lord Ganesha. It is one of the famous Hindu festivals, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi. It is celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country, especially in Maharashtra. The first step is Pranapratishhtha, where people bring statues of Lord Ganesha in their houses. It is followed by Shodashopachara puja, where people offer Modak, coconut rice, and payasam. Lord Ganesha is worshipped for ten days, and on the 11th day, Ganesh Visarjan takes place. Lord Ganesha takes away all the negativity from the house and blesses everyone with happiness and prosperity.

PRESIDIANS STRENGTHEN THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF POLYGONS!

Polygons are 2-dimensional shapes, made of straight lines, and the shape is "closed" (all the lines connect.) Triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, and hexagons are all examples of polygons. The name tells you how many sides the shape has. For example, a triangle has three sides, and a quadrilateral has four sides. Grade 4 students were introduced with different types of quadrilaterals and polygons. Students were encouraged to build their understanding by performing various class activities. They showcased it through different pictures and videos.
