JUBILANT DIWALI CELEBRATION WRAPS PRESIDIANS WITH JOY AND LOVE
Diwali, the festival of lights, is a major festival in India and is celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour. This year, Presidium celebrated Diwali in a distinctive way. The Presidians were shown a presentation on the significance and ways to celebrate Diwali. The students were encouraged to celebrate an eco-friendly Diwali by showing the effects of crackers on the environment and humans. Towards the end of the presentation, students devised ways to celebrate Diwali which is safe for all.

GANDHI JAYANTI: STUDENTS CELEBRATE GANDHIJI’S BIRTHDAY
Presidium celebrated the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of Nation. On this occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the students presented the assembly depicting the life of the great man who lived on the principles of ahimsa and non-violence. The students presented a small skit to show the ideas of Gandhiji and about his tools- ahimsa and satya. The splendid event concluded with a graceful dance performance by the students. The students laid emphasis on non-violence with the thought of Mahatma Gandhi “Anger is the enemy of non-violence and pride is a monster that swallows it up”. The assembly was finally concluded with the National Anthem.
DAUGHTER’S DAY:PRESIDIUM DAUGHTERS HONOURED WITH SPECIAL BADGES
Daughters are angels sent from above to fill our hearts with unending love. Daughters Day is the day dedicated to the little angels of the family. The day allows us to admire our daughters; their contributions and the glory they bring to our homes. A daughter truly is a gift from God. Presidium took the opportunity to recognize them, appreciate and express their gratitude towards them on National Daughter’s Day. Students were shown the videos on daughters and the bundles of joy were given special badges as an honour.
INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE:PRESIDIANS SPREAD LOVE & PEACE!
International Peace Day is a very special day, dedicated to strengthen the idea of peace in the world. Like charity begins at home, so does peace. Presidians realised the importance of peace and mutual understanding. On Peace Day, the students showcased the bond of love and peace through various activities. They welcomed everyone with smiles and later a peace symbol making activity was conducted.
PRESIDIANS TALK ABOUT ENVIRONMENTAL CONSCIOUSNESS ON OZONE DAY
HINDI DIWAS CELEBRATIONS: Hindi Hain Hum, Vatan Hai Hindustan
A two day affair on Hindi Diwas was conducted in Presidium Punjabi Bagh. Various poems, jokes, informative talks, speeches and story telling sessions with puppets were performed. At the special assembly, the students were instructed not to use English words, which made the scenario interesting and entertaining. An interactive session was also organized for the students where Hindi was put to maximum use. Students too shared their views quoting the lines of the famous poet Iqbal - “Hindi Hain Hum, Vatan Hai Hindustan Hamara".
STUDENTS VOUCH FOR ‘EDUCATION FOR ALL’ ON LITERACY DAY
‘Literacy is a foundation to build a more sustainable future for all’. To accentuate this strong message, 'World Literacy Day' was celebrated by our Grade-2 Presidians. The theme highlighted the importance of literacy among individuals, communities and societies. They threw light on the quality of education and life-long learning opportunities and how everyone has the equal right to gain education. They participated in an assembly which aimed to promote ‘Right to Education and Literacy Skills’ among children and the helper staff. Students truly instilled the value of being literate and the urge to serve the society in the most valuable and productive way.
MRS. SUDHA GUPTA HONOURS TEACHERS AT CHAIRPERSON HONOURS
It is said that Parents are a child's first teacher who give them life lessons' and after them comes the Guru or teacher who leads the child ahead in life. In the young and impressionable years, teachers play a very important role-- they are our role models, inspiration, and parent-figures. To honour these remarkable people i.e the Teachers,our Chairperson Mrs .Sudha Gupta bestowed the Chairperson Honours for Teachers by awarding them with trophies and certificates in recognition of their vital role in upheaving, inspiring and encouraging the students. The Honour raised the moral of the teachers and boosted their zeal to strive to achieve even higher benchmarks .
PRESIDIANS SALUTE THEIR MENTORS ON TEACHER’S DAY
Presidium Punjabi Bagh celebrated Teacher’s day with great fun and enthusiasm. The assembly began with a dance performance on ‘Sarawati Vandana’ followed by the thought and talk highlighting the contribution of teachers in a student’s life. September 5 is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan – the second President of India who was a great academic philosopher and one of the most well-known diplomat, scholar, President of India and above all a teacher. A beautiful poem highlighting the importance of aguru (teacher) was recited. Students also presented their amazing artwork prepared for this special occasion as their token of love for the teachers. Students thanked all the teachers for their diligence, sincerity and hard work. The school rejoiced, danced and played fun-filled activities together creating memories to cherish forever.
