STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT THE DIFFERENT PHASES OF MOON

The phases of the Moon are the different ways the Moon looks from Earth over about a month. The different shapes of the lit portion of the Moon that can be seen from Earth are known as phases of the Moon. A phase is an angle of the Moon to the Earth so it appears differently every day. Grade 3 students of Presidium enjoyed the activity of creating different phases of the Moon through cut and paste art.

STUDENTS OBSERVE WORLD POPULATION DAY WITH DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES

World Population Day is an annual event, celebrated on the 11th day of July to raise awareness of global population issues. The event was established by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme. The day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students of Presidium School to mark the importance of World Population Day.  

Students were told about the disadvantages of population increase in the country. They took part in various activities such as poster making, writing articles on population control to raise awareness.

कक्षा - 7 बच्चों ने विशेषण शब्द व उसके भेद क्रियाकलाप के अंतर्गत विशेषण शब्दों व भेद पर चर्चा की व समझ बनाने के उपरांत अपनी समझ को भिन्न डिजाइनों में उकेरा व कक्षा के समक्ष प्रस्तुत किया। इस प्रकार बच्चो ने अपनी समझ का प्रयोग कर कक्षा में बढ़ चढ़ कर भाग लिया व कक्षा को रोचक बनाया।

National Doctors Day, observed to thank the doctors for their humane services to mankind every year on July 1st, is very special for every medical practitioner. This day is  also observed to pay tribute to Dr. B. C. Roy and salute the spirit of his dedication. The red carnation was chosen as the official symbol of Doctors Day because the colour of the flower is in spirit with the character of the medical profession. It represents adoration, charity, sacrifice, bravery, and audacity. Presidians paid a grand salute and heartfelt gratitude to all the medical professionals who have ethically treated patients and are serving society irrespective of all odds and amidst severe pandemic conditions.

PRESIDIANS LEARN THE ART OF YOGA

Yoga helps to instill confidence and self-esteem among children. It teaches   perseverance, patience, and focus. On International Yoga Day Presidians School conducted a session on yoga .Presidians performed poses like Suryanamaskar, Baddha Konasana, Vrikshasana etc . The determination among Presidians to achieve the asana was a testimony to their perseverance and focus.

READING WEEK- PRESIDIAN PAY TRIBUTE TO PN PANICKER

This year India celebrates the 25th edition of the National Reading Day in honour of PN Panicker. – The Father of India’s Library Movement, who contributed to the literacy movement in Kerala making it the first total literate state of the country in 1991. To honour the man and his message of ‘Read and Grow’, Presidian’s would be celebrating a Reading Week. The event is aimed to encourage and inculcate the habit of reading amongst our young leaders of tomorrow.

STUDENTS MARK LABOUR DAY WITH ONLINE ACTIVITIES!

World Day Against Child Labour was introduced in 2002 by the International Labour Organisation. The day provides an opportunity and urges the need to generate an environment for children to grow and live a dignified life and also to fight against child labour. At Presidium, students took up the initiative to spread awareness about the day. They participated in various online activities and showed solidarity to showcase through posters, collages, videos, poems, and speeches.

PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE THE AUSPICIOUS OCCASION OF BUDDHA PURNIMA

Buddha Purnima, also known as Buddha Jayanti is an auspicious day that marks the birth anniversary of Gautam Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. It is believed that this was also the day he attained enlightenment at Maha Bodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya, Bihar. Buddha Purnima celebration is all about praying with the purest of feelings, and adopting what Buddhism stands for – peace, non-violence and harmony. Our Young Presidians participated in the celebrations by  drawing beautiful posters and sharing spiritual sermons of Lord Buddha. Overall, the celebration filled our young learners with a desire to imbibe the teachings of Lord Buddha and move ahead on the serene path of spirituality.
