PRESIDIANS VOW TO PROTECT OUR BEAUTIFUL PLANET ON WORLD EARTH DAY
“The Earth is a fine place and worth fighting for.”
Earth Day is a day to protect, conserve and value our Mother Earth. Like every year students of Presidium Punjabi Bagh decided to take a pledge to make a lifestyle change that would impact not only inside but also outside the school. To articulate the importance of this day, different activities were hosted like cleanliness drive, planting saplings in a coconut to reuse, making posters, pledge boards, wearing earthy headgear with message “I am the Earth’s Caretaker”. The event was made even more successful with thought provoking speeches and a play that showcased measures for need of the hour to create a Happy Earth, Happier Life!
YOUNG CHESS CHAMP EMERGE VICTORIOUS!
Sahib Singh participated in the recently concluded Asian Youth chess championship 2019 held in Waskaduwa, Sri Lanka where players from 23 countries took part in the three different formats of Chess- Rapid, Blitz and Standard spread over 10 days. Sahib, playing in U12 open category, showed remarkable form in Rapid and blitz formats and defeated and drew with much higher rated opponents. He received an individual bronze medal in Blitz and was individually fifth in the Rapid event. His performance helped his team India to clinch the gold medals in team events of both Blitz and Rapid. So, he has got 2 team gold medals and an individual bronze. He even got featured in an article on Indian contingent's performance published in Chessbase, the biggest chess magazine.
EK ONKAR! INVOKING WAHEGURU'S BLESSINGS ON THE OCCASION OF BAISAKHI
“Baisakhi brings the wish you get hope for future,wish to get love in the present, wish to get freedom from the present”. The traditional fervour of Baisakhi was phenomenally celebrated at Presidium Punjabi Bagh. The festival was marked with spectacular performances, role play, astounding speeches and the enthralling aura of the festivity was well-illuminated with our young and dynamic leaders of tomorrow
dressed up in their folk attires to rejoice the celebration. It also gave light on laid foundation of ‘Khalsa Panth’ by Guru Gobind Singh ji where students acted as Paanch Pyaare reciting EkOnkar chants and guru shabd which embarked the level of energies amongst everyone. There was immense joy and excitement among the students and parents on this day. Presidium Punjabi Bagh family wishes this special day of Baisakhi the fulfillment of all hopes and dreams that aspire for all.
PRESIDIANS SPREAD THE MESSAGE OF UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE!
“You can’t enjoy Wealth if you’re not in Good Health”
Considering the theme of World Health Day: Universal Health Coverage: everyone, everywhere Presidians celebrated the day by motivating everyone to embrace good habits like balanced diet, exercise, mediation improving mental and physical health. Students actively indulge in activities related to maintaining good hygiene, sanitation,eating fruits and vegetables aiding to good immune and digestive system. The awareness was largely incorporated to the students by different slogans, speeches and active participation in assembly. Adding extra milestones to the learning where students confidently taught yoga, exercises to the helper staff and transporters to create awareness for being healthy. Also, a generous and thought provoking activity was done by our little tiny tots as they distributed toothpaste and brushes to the needy and special children of the society to spread the word and need of being healthy followed by Dental check-up of the students to ensure the benefits. It created a wonderful
experience and took a pledge to create a healthy, wealthy and wise environment for one and all.
A PERFECT START TO THE NEW ACADEMIC YEAR!
New beginnings! New Aspirations! New learning and Empowering knowledge! Young and dynamic students of Presidium Punjabi Bagh began their new journey for the session 2019-20 with joyful smiles. Students loved clicking pictures with their friends, showcasing the undefinable friendship bonds and hopes. This fun-filled activity energised the students to acquaint to new mates, classes and teachers with love and warmth. All the students rejoiced moments to cherish lasting with them during the entire academic session.
LEARNING ABOUT TYPES OF HOUSES WITH AN INTERESTING ACTIVITY
Presidium Punjabi Bagh students from grade 3 set off a quest to create an environment that embraced the intellectual and academic bar over excellence by presenting models showing different types of houses like stilt house, boat house, brick house, igloo, multi-storeys buildings.
Students were engrossed by sharing various needs, importance and the areas of the houses associated with each type. The presentation of the models made students highly motivated in learning catering to creative, intellectual and social needs. It was a stimulating activity to provide informative education and enjoyable learning for our students.
PRESIDIANS DRENCH IN THE COLOURS OF LOVE ON THE FESTIVAL OF HOLI
LEARNING ABOUT THE NATURE WITH THE TBL THEME OF ‘GARDEN’
Holi, the festival of colours presented a wonderful opportunity for our students of Punjabi Bagh to use art filled with bright sunshine colours. Students rejoiced in the colours of spring for the festival with great enthusiasm and fun with flowers, Chandan, gulls, music and dance performances. The energies of little bundle of joys were filled with happiness, love and togetherness merrily for each other. Students were given the importance of the festival by narration of the story of Prahlad and evil king Hiranyakashipu and Holika Dahan which was quite informative as they were intrigued to gaining knowledge and importance of the festival. Students spread colours of Holi,the message of peace and happiness. Celebrating the colours of our beautiful relationship, Presidium family wish everybody all the bright hues of life.
PRESIDIANS LEARN ABOUT GOD’S MOST BEAUTIFUL CREATION, FLOWERS!
‘Flowers make our garden blossom. Flowers have a way of bringing people together, drawing them from their homes’. With an aim to familiarize students to different types of flowers, an activity was organised for the students of grade Nursery where they were shown flowers like rose, sunflower, tulip, daisy etc flourishing the brightness and aura of the garden. Experiential Learning is the key to make students learn by doing in various fun-filled activities and Presidium leaves no stone unturned to make our leaders bloom in every which way.
TBL THEME ‘CELEBRATIONS’:PRESIDIANS LEARN ABOUT CULTURE OF INDIA

Celebrating festivals like Diwali, Christmas and Baisakhi enthralled the students of grade 1 as they learned about the culture of India. Students were dressed up vibrantly in different attires depicting the cultural heritage of our mother India. The students merrily narrated the culture, language, spoke wonderfully about festivals embarking the effective learning of the Theme-Celebration in TBL.
These experiences lead the students learn social living spreading the message of love, unity, peace and togetherness.
