PRESIDIANS ENHANCE THEIR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT FOOD CHAIN

The food chain is the sequence of transfer of energy in the form of food from organism to organism, and the network of the food chain is considered the food web. The students of Grade 4 Presidium made these food chains and food webs by which Presidians learned about producers, primary consumers, and secondary consumers. With the help of food chains, students also learned about the importance of different organisms in the ecosystem. All the students actively participated and enjoyed the activity.

It inspires photographers across the planet to share a single photo with a simple purpose: to share their world with their world. Photography has changed and brought the world closer than ever before. With the inventions of digital cameras, smartphone cameras, and future artificial intelligence technologies, photography has impacted human lives in a way that can never go back to how it was before. World Photography Day celebrates the art, craft, science, and history of photography throughout the world. Presidium celebrated this day through sharing slogans, speeches, and posters.

INDEPENDENCE DAY: PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE THEIR LOVE FOR INDIA

Independence Day was celebrated virtually at Presidium with utmost fervour, zest, and a spirit of patriotism to mark the innumerable sacrifices of the freedom fighters of India and honour the fact that we are living in a free India. The event started with the flag-raising ceremony, followed by the National Anthem and Pledge. The whole celebration was power-packed with inspiring speeches, heart-warming theatrical performances, mesmerizing dance performances, and the choir singing in unison resonating patriotism. All programs were focusing on honoring the freedom fighters and glorifying India's Independence.

प्रिसीडियम के कक्षा 7 के छात्रों ने लेखन विधाओं की समझ बनाते हुए पत्र लेखन किया। जिसके अंतर्गत उन्होंने अपने दादा/दादी,नाना/नानी को पत्र लिखा व पोस्ट किया। बच्चों ने कोरोना काल में न मिलने के कारण होने वाली परेशानियों पर चर्चा करते हुए उन्हें पत्र लिखा व ऐसे समय में पत्र की उपयोगिता को जाना। बच्चों ने पत्र लिखना, उसे पोस्ट करना आदि क्रियाओं का आनंद लिया।

Onam is the festival celebrated to commemorate 'Lord Vamana' an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It is a symbol of Malayalam culture and tradition. It is celebrated as tourist week with great enthusiasm with major celebrations taking place in Kerala. To enhance knowledge about this festival, Presidians also participated in celebrations by making some posters, drawings, etc.

ANOTHER FEATHER IN PRESIDIUM’S CAP!

Sahib Singh played brilliantly in the Asian Schools Chess Championship (u13) organised by Asian Chess Federation and hosted by Philippines online over Tornelo. He scored 7.5 out of possible 9 points and won the Individual silver medal for India.     In all 95 selected players from 25 countries had taken part in this tournament. This is one of Sahib's biggest achievements so far.

STUDENTS REMEMBER GANDHIJI ON QUIT INDIA MOVEMENT DAY

"Ours is not a drive for power, but purely a non-violent fight for India's independence.” 
The Quit India Movement (translated into several Indian languages as the Leave India Movement), also known as the August Movement, was a movement launched at the Bombay session of the All India Congress Committee by Mahatma Gandhi on 8 August 1942, during World War II, demanding an end to British rule in India. The slogan of the Quit India Movement was "Karo Ya Maro", which means "Do or Die" when translated from Gujarati. Students of Presidium participated with great enthusiasm and marked the day by discussing the causes and effects of the Quit India Movement, making posters, and speaking slogans/poems. They remembered Mahatma Gandhi and our visionary National leaders who were instrumental in this mass movement.

STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT THE PROCESS OF GROWTH OF A SEED TO A PLANT

Under the theme "Plants" students of grade 5 learned to identify the process of growth and development from a seed to a plant. As part of the experiential learning, the Germination of seeds activity was done. This activity gave students the chance to explore and find the necessity of light, air, appropriate temperature, and soil nutrients for seed germination. Students of Presidium designed attractive posters and also germinated seeds.
