The Indian independence movement from 1857 to 1947, was a series of historic events during the British Raj, starting with the Indian rebellion of 1857, with the ultimate aim of ending British rule on the Indian subcontinent. Our Visionary Political Leaders under the guidance of Mahatma Gandhi worked on the lines of Satyagraha and successfully attained freedom. While studying the Chapter of Social Science History- The Making of the National Movement: 1870s -1947, Students of Grade 8 Punjabi Bagh wrote about their favorite movements. By this activity, they were able to recapitulate the movements they had done in class.

The Solar System is made up of all the planets that orbit our Sun. It also consists of moons, comets, asteroids, minor planets, dust, and gas. The inner solar system contains the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars. The main asteroid belt lies between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. The planets of the outer solar system are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. To exhibit their understanding of the Solar System our Presidians of grade 5 created a project of the solar system using all their creativity and knowledge related to the concept.

National Women's Day is observed on the birth anniversary of 'Bharat Kokila' Sarojini Naidu, every year on February 13 to honor her works. Sarojini Naidu, a political activist, and a well-known poet, also known as Nightingale of India, is an inspiration for women across India as she actively participated in India's freedom movement against the British. She was the first woman Governor of India. This year, on the 143rd birth anniversary of 'Bharat Kokila.' Students of Presidium celebrated the same through slogans, speeches, and beautiful posters.

Basant Panchami also known as Vasant Panchami and Saraswati Puja is celebrated in reverence to the Hindu deity Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of Learning, Arts, and Music. The festival also marks the preparation for the arrival of spring. The students of Presidium celebrated this day with great devotion and verve to attain blessings from Goddess Saraswati to reach the quintessence of knowledge. Students showcased this through their Artwork, Craftwork, Speeches, and wearing yellow colour dresses as yellow colour is a representative of spiritual knowledge.

STUDENTS SHOWCASE THEIR MESMERIZING MOVES AT DANCE COMPETITION

It is truly believed that every person is born with a talent. Presidium Grade 2 organized an Inter Class Dance Competition to nurture and hone the dancing skill in its students. Presidians showcased their moves and expressions with their well-choreographed dances on the virtual platform. The overwhelming performances by the participants mesmerized everyone. It was truly heartening to see our leaders of tomorrow perform with zest and ebullience.

STUDENTS HONE THEIR ORATORY SKILLS WITH DECLAMATION COMPETITION

Declamation competition of Grade7 and Grade 8 was held at Presidium to hone the oratory skills among the students. Declamation competition aims at encouraging public speaking in children and giving them a platform to showcase their skills. The participants selected one topic as per their choice and delivered a speech in a given time period i.e. 2 minutes. Presidians participated with full zeal and zest. They expressed their strong views and ideas of confidentiality as they had explored and researched on the topics they selected to speak. It was a wonderful experience for the teachers to witness the enthusiastic students ardently expressing their thoughts.
