National Youth Day is celebrated on 12 January on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda's birthday. Swami Vivekananda has taught the youth of the country through the message —let's be human. He dwelt on the capabilities of the youth and wanted them to train themselves in order to serve humanity. He wanted the youth to have 'muscles of iron' and 'nerves of steel'. Presidians were briefed about the Nation Youth Day and they celebrated National Youth Day through sharing Slogans, Speeches, and beautiful Posters.
भारत कहें या फिर हिंदुस्तान जिसमें तमाम भाषा और संस्कृति के लोग रहते हैं लेकिन इस देश के दिल में बसती है तो हिंदी। जी हां इसी हिंदी को समर्पित है विश्व हिंदी दिवस' जो 10 जनवरी को देश के साथ ही साथ पूरी दुनिया में मनाया जाता है। इसका उद्देश्य विश्व में हिंदी के प्रचार-प्रसार के लिये जागरूकता पैदा करना तथा हिन्दी को अन्तरराष्ट्रीय भाषा के रूप में पेश करना है। विश्व में हिन्दी का विकास करने और इसे प्रचारित-प्रसारित करने के उद्देश्य से विश्व हिन्दी सम्मेलनों की शुरुआत की गई। प्रिसीडियम में बच्चों ने इस दिवस को धूम धाम से मनाया जिसमें बच्चों ने इस दिन के प्रति जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया व कई रोमांचक कार्यक्रम पेश किए।
Rights of all consumers are celebrated and promoted across India annually on National Consumer Rights Day, on December 24. Consumers hold the most power in buying and selling goods. National consumer movement is e-commerce gaining more and more popularity. It is important for consumers to be aware of and exercise their rights, as well as their responsibilities. Presidians explained the meaning, purpose and the importance of the day through drawing posters and speaking quotes.
The Olympic Games is an important international event featuring summer and winter sports. Summer Olympic Games and Winter Olympic Games are held every four years. Athletes participate in the Olympics Games to represent their country. Over time the Olympics have become bigger. To enhance their knowledge about the Olympic games students of grade 4 Presidium collected knowledge on various Olympic sports and presented it in the class, beautifully written and pasted on coloured sheets.
National Mathematics Day is celebrated every year on December 22 across the nation to recognize and celebrate the works of Srinivasa Ramanujan. Presidians celebrated National Mathematics Day by performing an activity on symmetry. They cut out different shapes and pinned them up on cardboard. By this activity, Presidians calculated the order of symmetry and angle of rotation of different shapes by rotating them. Mathematics is not about numbers, equations, computations, or algorithms: it is about understanding. Presidians understand the order of symmetry by this activity and enjoyed it thoroughly.
Vijay Diwas is commemorated every 16th December in Bangladesh and India, to observe India and Bangladesh's victory over Pakistan in the War of 1971 for the liberation of Bangladesh from Pakistan. The end of the war also resulted in the unilateral and unconditional surrender of the Pakistan Army and subsequent secession of East Pakistan into Bangladesh. Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, extended her full support to the liberation struggle of (East Pakistan) Bangladesh that helped it to become a free nation. At Presidium, it was celebrated with great fervor and excitement. Children explained the meaning, purpose, and the subsequent celebration of the day through posters, speech, etc.
Water is one of the most important substances that are needed for plants and animals. We cannot lead our day-to-day life without water. Water makes up more than half of our body weight; without water, all organisms in the world would die. Water is necessary for drinking, bathing, cooking, cleaning, and washing, and so on. Conservation of Water is important for our good and for the future to come. Under the theme 'Water' grade 3 students of Presidium understood the need for water. They explored different ways of using it and learned the importance of saving water and showcased it using collage work.
